Strato Automation, based in Boucherville, Québec, builds open BACnet controls for buildings up to about 75,000 square feet: OPENSTAT wall controllers for fan coils, heat pumps, rooftop units, and air handlers, written to ASHRAE Guideline 36; the BP848 family for air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, and boilers; BZ424 and BZ122 controllers for VAV and VVT boxes; and the OCN+ platform as a browser-based front end with no annual platform fee. Because the controllers are BACnet, they also drop into a Tridium Niagara 4 supervisor, and Strato's Niagara software suite lets us configure Strato devices straight from Workbench. Vertex installs and programs Strato systems where a full enterprise BAS would be overkill, and integrates them into Niagara where the owner already has one.
WHAT WE DO ON STRATO AUTOMATION
New Strato installs
Controller selection, panel build, installation, and wiring for rooftop units, air handlers, fan coils, heat pumps, plant equipment, and VAV and VVT boxes.
Programming and configuration
Setup in Strato's tools or from Niagara with Strato's Niagara software suite, with sequences, setpoints, and schedules documented for the owner.
OCN+ front ends
OCN+ installed as the building's browser-based front end, with graphics, trends, alarms, and remote access, for buildings that don't need an enterprise BAS.
Niagara integration and service
Strato devices brought into an existing Niagara 4 station over BACnet, plus troubleshooting and service on Strato systems we installed or inherited.
